The goals are as follows:
Reduce the number of crashes, injuries and deaths involving novice teen drivers by increasing parent awareness of teen driver safety issues and enhancing parental involvement in developing safer teen drivers.
Increase parent awareness of teen driving risks and laws.
Increase awareness of the important role parents play in influencing their teens to drive safely.
Provide resources for parents that help them fulfill their role effectively.
Parents must attend a class for every student who attends classroom in different sessions.
Parents must preregister for the class. Lack of interest may cause a class to be postponed. Please check class status before attending.

No. To qualify for a provisional license, a teen with a valid permit must drive under the supervision of a licensed driver who is at least 21 years of age for not less than 50 hours. At least 15 of the 50 hours must have taken place at night.
No. The 6 hours of instructor lead are separate from the 50 hours teens do at home.
Yes. It lowers the 50 hours (15 night) down to 40 hours (15 night). Parents are still encouraged to drive at least 50 hours whether they attend or not. More practice equals safer drivers
